Appearance
The appearance of the toolbar may be changed. The following three options are available:
It is also possible to set the toolbar so it does NOT appear. Use the Options pull-down menu to turn the toolbar off.
The Browser, Mail and Newsgroup windows are the three basic windows in Netscape 2.0. The following three startup options are available:
The other Netscape windows can be accessed regardless of the Startup setting. Netscape windows may be opened in the File pull-down menu. The initial web page loaded by the Netscape Browser can be set. Blank page will present a grey empty page. The Home Page Location is set by typing or pasting in an URL address. The Home Page Location button must be selected or the URL will NOT load at startup.
If Underlined is selected the hyperlinks will be underlined. if unselected, the links will be colored only. Followed links can be configured to revert to unselected after a set number of days. If "Never" is selected, the traveled links will always appear as selected. Pressing "Now" will cause all traveled links to revert to unselected. |

Colors
"Let Document override," when selected, will present the web document as the creator designed it. Backgrounds and special text and links colors (if any) will appear. "Always Use Mine" will disregard the the above information in favor of the Color settings selected. These color settings, WHICH ARE ONLY AVAILABLE WHEN "ALWAYS USE MINE" AND THE SQUARE NEXT TO THE ITEM IS SELECTED, are :
A background image may be selected by activating "file" and pressing "Browse." An image may be selected which will appear in the background of all web pages.

Fonts
The Proportional font setting controls the style and general size of the text appearing on the web pages. Fonts such as Times, Helvetica and Chicago may be selected. The size control sets the exact size for regular text and the proportional size of irregular sized text. Text appearing on the page which is programmed to be smaller or larger than normal will be altered based on the size setting. |

Helpers
Helper program settings allow Netscape to present specific file types within the browser window or point to other applications which will present the file. |

Images
Image loading may be set to load during or after the loading of the web page text. |

Applications
The Telnet Application may be selected with the Browser button. Choosing a Telnet application allows Netscape to instantly load the Telnet program and make connections to specific sites. View Source setting may be set to load another program (such as Simpletext or Word) or use a new Netscape window to view the HTML source code of the current web page. |
