ACE
Club
To make students that are interested in agricultural and consumer economics
aware of the opportunities available to them and enhance their knowledge of
the fields of agribusiness,
textile marketing and consumer economics.
ACES
Council
Mission: To serve as the liaison between the students and faculty; to facilitate
the development and success of ACES Student Organizations.
Alpha
Epsilon
The mission of the Alpha Epsilon Honor Society is to promote the high ideals
of the engineering profession, to give recognition to those agricultural engineers
who manifest
worthy qualities of character, scholarship, and professional attainment, and
to encourage and support such improvements in the Agricultural Engineering
profession as will make it an
instrument of greater service to mankind.

Tau Alpha (ATA)
Honorary fraternity for future Agriculture teachers.
Agricultural
Communicators of Tomorrow (ACT)
for students who have professional interest in agricultural communications.
Help acquaint members with the career field and those who work in it. Serve
College of Agriculture through
programs of communications support for students, faculty members, alumni, and
others.
Agricultural
Education Club
to promote and further Agricultural Education at the University of
Illinois and provide social and educational activities for students of
agricultural education.

Mechanization Club
to provide opportunity for students and faculty to become better acquainted.
To provide opportunity for students to hear and talk with speakers from
industry. To provide opportunity
for students to work together and with faculty on club projects and activities.
American
Society of Agricultural Engineers Student Branch (ASAE)
to aid in the professional development of Agricultural Engineering
students and to bring them into contact with their peers in a nonacademic
environment.
Association
of Food Technologists
to promote interest in the field of food technology and to acquaint
the students with food science faculty.
Collegiate
FFA
Collegiate FFA is the university branch of the National FFA Organization.
Collegiate
4-H Club
Promotes leadership, community service, and youth development through leadership
conventions, hosting a youth conference, and social and service events. Previous
4-H involvement is not required.
Companion
Animals Club
The Companion Animals Club is dedicated to providing educational resources
and fun to all animal lovers. At our monthly meetings, guest speakers discuss
a wide variety of topics from animal health to animal welfare and rescue. The
Companion Animals Club also holds fundraisers to benefit local non-profit organizations
and animal shelters.
Field and
Furrow
to advance and disseminate knowledge concerning soil and crops; to
foster a spirit of cooperation and mutual helpfulness among students in
Agronomy; to provide an opportunity for a wider acquaintance with the staff
members in Agronomy; to cooperate with other chapters for the furtherance
of the Science of Agronomy; to correlate activities in Agronomy with other
closely related fields.
Gamma
Sigma Delta
Gamma Sigma Delta is the premier honor society in agriculture. It is
international in character and has 47 local chapters at universities and
colleges offering degrees in agriculture throughout the United States,
Honduras, Puerto Rico, and the Philippines. Gamma Sigma Delta has the broad
objective of encouraging advancement in all branches of the agricultural
sciences and human ecology.

'n' Horn
to promote Animal Science, as well as higher scholastic standards and a closer
relationship among Animal Science students.
Horticulture
Club
for the advancement of knowledge, the development of the professional
background of the members, the fostering of good fellowship among students
and faculty, and the active
promotion of horticulture as a part of gracious living.
Human Interest
Professions Club (HIP)
Mission Statement: The purpose of HIP Club is to provide students with
opportunities to: do volunteer work within the community, enhance leadership
skills, and facilitate professional development.
Illini
Dairy Club
Promoting the dairy industry by providing activities for interested
people, Cow Olympiad, judging teams, regional meetings, and PDCA Calf Sale.
GOT MILK ?
Illini
Equestrians to promote interest in the art of horsemanship
and expand knowledge and expertise in the
fields of equine management and techniques. Also to provide students, staff,
and faculty of the U of I that have an interest in horses to meet and enjoy
horse-related activities with others
having the same interest. Members given a chance to participate in all aspects
of planning and managing horse shows and clinics throughout the year.
Illini Foresters
to represent and advance the interests of students of forestry in student affairs
and campus
activities; to promote fellowship among forestry student faculty and alumni,
and to further
the students professional development.
ACES
Global Ambassadors
provides a forum for discussion of international agricultural production
and practices. IAA feels a need to unite undergraduate and graduate students,
along with faculty and staff, from all over the world. IAA also wants to
provide information to students about study, internships,
and employment in international agriculture.
Minorities
in Agriculture Natural Resources and Related Sciences
Mission: To promote leadership development, enhance academic skills, facilitate networking, and foster diversity in the food, agricultural and related sciences.
National Agri-Marketing Association (NAMA)
foster and promote highest standards of professional excellence in Agri-Marketing;
to offer an open forum to Agri-Marketing executives for exchanging views
and ideas; to promote better
understanding of Agriculture's role in our economy; to encourage young people
to pursue Agricultural marketing careers.
Pre-Vet
Club
provide information to students interested in gaining admission to
College of Veterinary Medicine. Includes regular lecture series.
Rodeo
Club
to promote Rodeo on a Collegiate level, and to increase interest in
the sport, as well as allow students to participate in Rodeo events.
Student
Advancement Committee
The Student Advancement Committee is a group of 30 undergraduate students
who work with the Office of Resource Development staff to raise funds for
College programs, serve as
College ambassadors working with alumni groups, and assist with student recruitment
efforts. Two of the most widely known activities of SAC include the annual
Student/Alumni
Phone-a-thon which generates more than $100,000 each year, and the annual Orange
Carpet Recruitment weekend which brings high school juniors to campus each
spring.
Turf
Club
The U of I Turf Club was founded in January of 1997 by a group of turf
students to provide an opportunity for students to network with peers and
professionals in the field, promote
turfgrass management as a profession and encourage interaction with other students
through educational and social programs. The club has enjoyed a successful
first part of the year and anticipates the same for the rest of the year.
