Presides over all meetings of the committee and, along with the direction of the Executive Board, ensures that all activities and programs are carried out in an appropriate manner.

Responsible for SACs role in programs organized by the College of ACES Alumni Association, such as the annual meeting, football gatherings, and district meetings in which SAC members act as hosts/hostesses to college alumni. He/She is also responsible for coordinating the SAC alumni newsletter SACtionline.

Responsible for SACs role in programs and special events organized by the Office of Advancement for the College of ACES. This includes, but is not limited to, organizing SAC's role in ACES Open House, the Presidents Council Reception, Funk Awards Banquet, and Commencement. He/She is also responsible for programming events for the Clark-Lindsey Friends of Agriculture.

Responsible for promoting the activities and accomplishments of the committee and its members. Publicity mediums include Open House, the Daily Illini, and the bulletin boards outside 125 Mumford Hall.

Responsible for coordinating and conducting fundraising activities that directly and financially benefit the committee. Also responsible for the handling of funds that are directly associated with the committee.

Responsible for coordinating and conducting the activities and events deemed appropriate by the committee as special events.

Responsible for recording minutes and attendance lists from all meetings and providing all necessary correspondence (i.e. thanks yous, meeting reminders, and agendas).

Responsible for designing and maintaining the committee's website on the World Wide Web.

Establish and maintain the SAC archives and document events/activities through photographs, scrapbooks, video, etc.

Responsible for overseeing the various subcommittees for the College of ACES Phone-A-Thon (decorations, refreshments, recruitment, door prizes, and publicity) and assuring the subcommittees are on task. This individual would share this information with the chair, assuring that the SAC members have organized and carried out a successful College of ACES Phone-A-Thon.
