Founded in 1987, MANRRS-UIUC charts the direction for a
diverse student body in the College of Agricultural, Consumer,
and Environmental Sciences (ACES). It is a founding chapter
of the national society of MANRRS. Chapter membership has
increased from 4 students in 1987 to approximately 50 students
today.
The chapter accomplishes its goals through a schedule of
activities at the local, state and national level. MANRRS-UIUC
has established a strong record of service to the university
and local community. The chapter and individual members
have won awards at the annual MANRRS national conference. MANRRS-UIUC
was recognized as the MANRRS National Chapter of the Year
in 1999 and Region V Chapter of the Year for five consecutive
years (1997 - 2001). In 1997, MANRRS-UIUC hosted the first
ever Region V workshop and in 2001 hosted the National
MANRRS
Conference and Career Fair.
