What is Jr. MANRRS?
It is a MANRRS-UIUC initiative to reach high school students
and to show them the vast opportunities in the agricultural
sciences. Students are afforded the opportunity to explore
and develop an appreciation of the agricultural and related
sciences. Jr. MANRRS-UIUC accomplishes its objectives by
providing high school students the chance to interact with
students in the College of Agricultural, Consumer and Environmental
Sciences (ACES).
MANRRS-UIUC members work with ACES Academic Programs in planning
and conducting the following activities involving high school
students:
- Attend the ACES Open House
- Participate in workshops in
the Chicago and East St. Louis areas on career awareness
- Attend the MANRRS Region V Workshop
- Serve as counselors
for the Summer Research Apprentice Program
- Host Picnic for
Research Apprentice Program participants ‹
